General Assembly Luncheon, 2008

As an elder Harriet Nelson was elected moderator of the 196^th General Assembly. Prior to that, she and her family had served as missionaries in West Africa. She had also held many leadership roles in the local church, Presbytery of the Redwoods, and Synod of the Pacific. Following her service as moderator she attended seminary and was ordained as a Minister of Word and Sacrament. She remained active at the denominational level serving on the Committee of the Office of the General Assembly and moderating that body. After retiring from the staff of San Francisco Theological Seminary she served several small churches. She in presently Visitation Pastor at the 1st Presbyterian Church in Napa, CA.

Harriet will be the guest speaker for the General Assembly luncheon which will be held on June 23, 2008, 12:00 - 1:30pm.
